A Splash of the 70's
I was working on some work for a collaborative art show that my department is creating. The concept was fooling around Provo. Everyone was given an assignment to create a piece of art work based of a random section of Provo they were given. My area (#29) ranged from 300N - 300S and 500E - 900E. So early one morning I drove/walked around my plot of land photographing. I strolled passed this run down laundry mat. The frame of the sign was barely standing and power lines crossed back and forth. The inside of the store was vacant, containing only the shells of the laundry machines. It may be a barren sight to most but I loved it. I may not be a fan of the plain exterior but inside was a colorful treasure trove. The machines were a bright orange color accented by the greenish geometric wallpaper. I've recently had a slight obsession with the weird green and orange tones of the 70's, so this explains my adoration for this old laundry mat.

Velour
I just started working on a project right now involving photographing small music venues and rising stars. Friday night I went to the Velour to attend a concert where the Band Truman was featured. I photographed the concert there. I 'm still trying to figure out where I want to take this project but for the most part I am happy with the results.

Riding: Please Stay Tuned
Lately I've been working on documenting childhood ambitions. This past week I spent sometime photographing a 7-year old boy with the dream of being the next greatest cowboy. I'm still in the process of editing the images but please stay tuned.

Shooting Excursion w/ Friends & their Shotguns
Last Monday I went shooting for the first time in my life. I definitely surprised myself, as well as others with my shooting abilities. After the first day I pretty much was hooked and therefore found myself 5 days later on another shooting excursion. The second time around I armed myself with my trusty camera. Here are some images from that day. I probably should have taken a photograph of myself but there is always next time.

Texaco
Sometimes I wish I lived in the era of old gas stations and soda shops, but then I remember I probably wouldn't fit in very well.
